A Statement from the Desk of Rittzo Norvejik - Time to Burn

A Statement from the Desk of Rittzo Norvejik - Time to Burn The time has come.  In a few short days your Warpfire Wanderers will be taking the Blood Bowl Pitch in pursuit of winning the Inaugural Legend's Cup!  Coach Furry has been readying the team for battle.  All eight of the participating teams are legends of the game and their races.  The skaven will only be out represented by the crack pot goblins.  What about the humans you ask?  Check with Bright Crusaders about whether or not they claims the mutated mass playing for the Chaos All-Stars. Yes our racial brethren have decided to participate with the Underworld Creepers outside of a pure skaven environment, but you could hardly say they "play well" together.  If we meet up with those skaven on the pitch, we will treat them like any other foes, with complete disregard. The remaining greenskins play for the Greenboyz, but play is a term I use very loosely.  Those cheating little gits don'...

...From my Cold, Dead Hands

Snachit Quikk grew up on the near north side of Chiratgo in a "development" called Killbrini-Greenie.  Killbrini-Greenie was notorious for its poverty and violence.  At the tender age of 6, Quikk saw three litter-mates killed by stray warpfire during local clan turf wars.  His mother prayed daily that Snatchit would find a way out of those sewers.  A local Blood Bowl coach at the Rats and Mice Club would show them that out. Reek Nosebiter had been a promising young Skaven thrower in his youth.  He showed his abilities in a variant called Street Ball before being offered a scholarship to play at Slowprogood Prep.  An unfortunate tail injury cost him a chance to play professionally but the love of the game still burned bright in him. Nosebiter saw Quikk one day, playing Street Ball with some neighborhood sewer dwellers.  He had run into a scrum to pick up the ball with no problem.  The other rats bit, scraped, and clawed at the ball but there wa...

Speed Kills

The game of Blood Bowl is a game of raw power and violence.  But a lesser thought about part of the game (at least to most races) is speed.  And the Wanderers have that in spades.  The two players that are the fastest on the team are Skritter the Leaper and Hrut Hornspike.  The Leaper is faster than Hornspike but he can run with anyone else in the league. When it comes to pure speed Skritter the Leaper has no equal.  This rat can fly by and over any player with the greatest of ease.  Skritter has lead the Wanderers in touchdowns for the last three years.  His high point was a 7 touchdown performance against the Greenfield Torpedoes.  Unless absolutely necessary you won’t see him on defense, his offensive prowess is too important to use on the defensive side of the ball. For all the offensive ability of the Leaper, defense is the world of Hrut Hornspike.  Hornspike is the team leader in forced fumbles.  He’s not the strongest Wan...

The Ultimate Wingman

The Ultimate Wingman. When you’re trying to impress that certain someone it’s important to have a wingman you can count on.  Sometime you need someone to pump you up.  Other times they need to, “disperse” the crowd.  Occasionally, you need someone to’ “take one for the team.”   Nothing better describes what Furrut Ringtail does for Rattagat Bruxt.  The two were signed to the Wanderers at the same time and have been inseparable.   Whereever Bruxt turned up there was Ringtail close at hand.  Whatever Bruxt needed Ringtail got for him.  It’s not uncommon to see the two of them sitting in the rear booth of not so well-respected establishments in town.  They hold court with drugs, drink and tail surrounding them. Bruxt was the first of them to show the signs of warpstone abuse.  He has always been the leader and closely followed by his buddy.  Ringtail began losing his fur at an unnaturally young age.  Slowly but...

Interview with the Coaches

The home of the Warpfire Wanderers has been starting to bustle a bit more.  The Legend Cup is a month away and the team is beginning to round into shape.  The Wanderers have been starting into two-a-day practices.  Coach Furry appears to be connecting with his players on a level that should bring the team to perform at it's best. Rittzo Norvejik, team owner, has finally granted the media opportunity to speak with Furry. Warpfire Weekly:  So, it appears you've been accepted into the Warpfire fold.  How was the experience? Coach Furry:  To say it was anything like what I've been through before.  But I think it helped me get more in tune with the Wanderer way.  i expect a long carrier here, and maybe even some winning. WW:  Have you spent any time with Reek Nosebiter? CF:  Yeah, he's been a tremendous help getting to know the culture of the place.  I intend to work with him, not only with our game plans, but in all aspects of...

A Statement from the Desk of Rittzo Norvejik - Dr. Skitter Hisonvurj

A statement from the desk of Rittzo Norvejik, Owner, Warpfire Wanderers Regarding the recent arrest of Dr. Randre Noewsick, the Wanderers would like to report that his services will no longer be utilized by the team.  We will now employ the services of Dr. Skitter Hisonvurj as team apothecary. Hisonvurj studied “medicine” at Albuckquirkey Nestte University and got his PHD from Corrupt Stoney Greene.  He came to the team as a suggestion from Rattagat Bruxt. Wanderers Will

A Statement from the Desk of Rittzo Norvejik - Spotlight

A Statement from the Desk of Rittzo Norvejik It seems the media has been focusing all of its attention on me and not the on-field product.  The Wanderers family would like to take this opportunity to point out and focus on the success of our team.  Rattagat Bruxt has become the all-time leader in casualties in the history of the Wanderers with 204, 47 resulting in the death of the opposing players.  Also, Skritter the Leaper was recently honored by the NAF as the fastest player in all of Blood Bowl.
